COMPETENCE COMPETENCE
“COMPETENCE - Strengthening the knowledge of local management agencies in the transport field” is a 30-months project co-financed by the European Commission within STEER within the framework of the Intelligent Energy - Europe Programme EIE. The main activities in COMPETENCE are the design and implementation of international and national training and know how transfer activities, the design of training materials and the implementation of case studies as part of a training-on-the-job-program.

TRUMP TRUMP
The European Commission, DG Energy and Transport, offers a training programme for urban transport professionals that aims to deliver a comprehensive programme of European training seminars designed for mid-career transport managers and executives working in local/regional authorities and related bodies, or for public transport operators in the EU and future member states. The 2003/2004 programme is open for applications until 17 April 2003.

CITY FREIGHT CITY FREIGHT
is a European research project on inter- and intra-urban freight distribution networks. It will carry out an analysis of selected freight transport systems already functioning in Europe and evaluate their socio-economic and environmental impacts in an urban context, with a common assessment methodology. City Freight will focus on innovative and promising logistic schemes in the seven countries represented in the project consortium.
